October 15-16, 2018: San Jose, CA - CREATE CA and the Santa Clara County Office of Education are pleased to co-present the 2018 annual statewide CREATE CA Convening. This two-day event will bring together district and school teacher leaders, administrators, school board members, arts organization and community leaders.

October 16-18, 2018: San Diego,CA - The 2018 Grantmakers for Education annual conference will investigate what it takes to foster the whole learner by exploring interventions and support structures to enhance environments within and outside of school, as well as by examining how and why to incorporate social and emotional competencies into the learning domain.

October 18-20, 2018: Dallas, Texas - Parent Teacher Home Visit Project (PTHVP) Annual Conference. Parent Teacher Home Visits connect the expertise of the family on their child with the classroom expertise of the teachers. The visit is not a “drop-in,” but rather an appointment set between two willing colleagues in a setting outside of the school.

September 18, 2018Alliance for Excellent Education Webinar - In this webinar conversation with Alliance for Excellent Education President Bob Wise, Jonathan will offer advice and share lessons learned during his tenure as school superintendent for Sac-city Unified School District. Jonathan will also discuss his new book, Wildflowers: A School Superintendent's Challenge to America.
